Express VPN Surfshark

Now it is seeming that VPN service providers like SufShark and Express VPN are not in the mood to stand with India in the fight against proxy services and piracy. Recently, the cybersecurity laws were introduced by the cyber security agency of India known as CERT-In. Since CERT-In introduced new guidelines many VPN service providers have decided to take down India servers. Keep reading to fetch more about the guidelines introduced for VPN service providers.

According to the new guidelines, VPN service providers are compelled to store the data of the user who used VPN service and users’ data will have to store at least for 5 years. however, the time period of storing data can be increased. It has been more than a month since the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology released guidelines for VPN service providers. CERT-In issued guidelines on 26th April 2022, CERT-In made VPN service providers compel to keep data of users such as user’s name, email id, the time period which they used VPN service, time stamps, IP address allotted to the user, and many more.

According to a wing of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, these details have to be kept by service providers for a minimum of five years. Now VPN service providers have decided to oppose this development while the government claims that the data of users will help in cybercrime.
