He takes the social media account and states that “History loading… Tomorrow 10:00 AM!!! Tuesday, 16th November 2021 will be recalled for years to come. Upon all artists/musicians and all media houses/outlets to encounter us at Parliament Building tomorrow 10:00 AM.” His brother Felix Omondi committed that the news of the apprehend saying he was at the Central Police Station.

In a video that was shared online, Eric is watched resisting as the men in the uniform force him into the car of the police. The comedian stated artists would convulse for better and good pay at events and demanded that they received the same amount for curtain-raising just like the foreign acts are paid. He further added that he wanted the Kenyan media to be coerced to play 75% Kenyan content.

“All local media to play at least 75% of local music just like it is in Nigeria, Zimbabwe, Ghana, South Africa, and the list goes on and on.” As per the Central OCPD, Adamson Bungei, Eric was apprehended for the offense of creating a disturbance near the buildings of parliament. Bungei stated that “He had not followed processes to stage the so-called protests. We are though sorting him out.”

The comedian had recently called on all musicians to come and join him in storming Parliament at around 10:00 AM with a list of demands to be presented to their respective leaders. Omondi and his group were though shattered by cops who comes up at the scene and took the comedian into detained in a dramatic apprehend. He was rushed by the officers into a waiting police van, but he tried to resist and instead jumped onto the roof of the motor vehicle.

The comedian was later assisted down by the police officials who bundled him into the police van and drove off.
