It has been stated by the police that he has confessed to making threats in order to shoot up the campus on Thursday which was the last day of classes before the winter break, he stated “Once done at the firing range, he was going to campus to enact a Columbine,” this has been stated by the Daytona Beach Police Chief Jakari Young.

Noey stated that Hagins has been living on campus for his first couple of semesters, it has been stated by the investigators that Hagins was carrying an arsenal inside a backpack when the police detained him coming out of his residence in the Andros Isles apartments off-campus.
