The friends and family of Dr Ling Felce recall her as a devotee mother and selfless pal who had a bright future ahead of her. She succumbed to wounds in a road traffic collision while she was cycling, in Oxford on Tuesday. In a tribute which is published by the Thames Valley Police, her spouse of 8 years, James Felce stated she was the light of the family.

He said that “Ling was the light of our family and we are shattered to lose her so young when she had so considerable dreams for herself and her kids that she starting to realize. I am lost sans her warm presence, but she will live on through the love that she has given to us and to so many other people. Her entire family loved and loves her hopelessly, and we will always keep her in our hearts and memories. She was the most devoted and caring mum there could be. We are all coming to terms with her demise, and the fact that her kids will grow up sans their beloved mother.”

Ling leaves behind 2 young kids, aged 3 and 5, her spouse James, her parents, and older sisters. She studied Biochemistry in the year 2005 and stayed on in Oxford in order to pursue a Ph.D. in the Department of Clinical Pharmacology. She was currently working as a research scientist since finishing her Ph.D. there in the year 2013, and most recently researched the information of the immune response against Covid-19 and against cancer. At the time of her there, she represented the university in both the rugby union and rugby league.
A highly promising young scientist, Ling was taking a directing role in the establishment of a new institute based within the university. Her co-workers stated Ling was selfless and caring, and are considering how best to recall her as part of the new institute.
