It’s almost three and a half months since this pandemic took over the entire world. Coronavirus or COVID-19 started its spread in India since May and till now lakhs of cases have been found all over the country. Each day passes and the numbers are rising as there is no stop to it. Frontline workers are doing there best to keep the public off the streets so that the communicable disease can be contained. Also to contain this virus various efforts have been taken by the government.
Starting with imposing the lockdown in the nation, the government and the doctors took every step to control the spread. But unfortunately, there’s no luck with that till now. The number of active cases have surpassed 2.5 lakhs and is still rising. In order to control the spread, the government appeals to the public to wear a mask whenever they go out and use sanitizers have mandated. Every government institution has been sanitized but still, somehow the virus managed to reach the higher officials.
Recently the health minister of Delhi, Satyendra Jain was found COVID-19 positive. After finding him positive for the disease he was quarantined. But now his condition has been deteriorating. Hence it has been transferred to another hospital in Delhi.
Union Minister Amit Shah showed concern over his health and wished him a speedy recovery over a Twitter post.
Satyendra Jain also tweeted about his condition on Wednesday and told everyone that he has been found positive for the virus. After that, he was admitted to the Rajiv Gandhi Super Speciality Hospital (RGSSH) when he was found with some of the symptoms of the disease. The symptoms included high fever and a shortage of oxygen.
Two of Aam Aadmi Party leaders have also found with similar kind of respiratory disorder. On Wednesday, Akshay Marathe, an advisor to CM Arvind Kejriwal, and Abhinandita Mathur, an advisor to deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia were also found positive for the virus.
Last week Delhi’s Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal showed some symptoms of the virus. Hence his samples were collected. He developed a high fever and sore throat. But on testing the samples he was found negative.
As the days are passing by the numbers have been increasing day by day. A lockdown was imposed in order to contain the virus but till now no improvements have been seen in it. Since the lockdown has been lifted the cases are increasing with rapid numbers. Also one of the reasons for this can be that the testing of samples has also increased, hence the rise in numbers.
The virus tool the whole world, powerful countries like the USA and England have also failed to contain the virus till now. Doctors and researches from all over the globe are working for a vaccine for this deadly disease. Hopefully, the vaccine should be ready soon so that the death tolls can decline. This virus has caused a lot of damage already including the economic slowdown.
