It was stated by the authorities that the driver of the car was 26-year-old Troy, Lebrente Wilson, it has been stated by the authorities that Wilson tried to make a left turn in order to go East on Burdell Drive but he failed to dodge the motorcycle which came into the path of the car.
It was further stated by the authorities, the officers are claiming that Wilson left the scene at the time but he returned back and was then apprehended, the motorcyclist was driving to Palmetto Health Richland Hospital by Richard County EMTs but he was pronounced dead after the arrival.
His name hasn’t been released as of yet at the time of the report, the Richland County coroner is going to release more information on Sunday, the incident has been the first alcohol-related traffic fatality for this year in Columbia, Wilson is now facing a plethora of charges, it includes the DUI involving his death.
Hit and run are also involved in the case, a driver under suspension second offense, seatbelt violation, open container in a motor vehicle, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, and failure to render aid, the bond has not yet been set, it seems like there are many informative points which haven’t been stated as this point in time.
