Paramedics and firefighters run away from the 36-years-old trapper driver, who sustained minor head and leg wounds. He was instantly taken to Westmead Hospital by road in a stable condition, an NSW Ambulance mouthpiece stated. NSW Police stated the truck was carrying 50 cattle to Scone in the Hunter region when it collided.

NSW Cops disclosed that “A number of cows were located deceased at the incident scene, and a number were required to be humanely euthanized. An operation is presently underway to remove the remaining cows off the roadway.” Inspector Natalie Gilbody stated the surviving cattle attained herding in a “long and delicate operation.”

She stated, “What has occurred when the truck rolled is a number of cattle have meandered off into the surrounding paddocks and we have managed to fence them into neighboring farmland. They are big animals and the truck is obviously in quite a dangerous position as well, so we require to be quite careful. The owners obviously are on-site and it is quite frightening for them to watch their cattle wounded and assassinated.”

The truck was transporting 50 cattle when it collided just prior to 08:00 AM near the Glenmore Parkway. Adam Dewberry, Fire and Rescue NSW Superintendent stated the truck had an upper and lower deck, and it would be a “long and protracted” incident. The NSW Transport Management Centre stated the crash happened just past the Glenmore Parkway. After this accident, Mulgoa Road has been closed in both directions and travelers are advised to avoid the area. Stay tuned with us for more updates regarding this incident.
