There has been a detail that has been shared by the Federal Bureau of Investigation in the supreme court regarding the Brett Kavanaugh case at the time he was a nominee and it seems like that there are many democratic senators that are asking for some more clarifications about the same.
Brett Kavanaugh Supreme Court
The Assistant Director of the FBI naming Jill Tyson has stated in a letter which he wrote on 30th June that there are about 4500 tips that have been received by the agency about the Kavanaugh case and that they have turned over many of the relevant tips as they directed them to the counsel of White House which means it was directed towards Don McGahn who was present at the time in the year 2018.
It has also been stated by Tyson that there were only 10 people who were interviewed even though there were thousands of tips that were given to the FBI. The letter has been made public for everyone to see on Thursday which was done by Sheldon Whitehouse and Chris Coons, they have stated that this has been a response from them to the letter that was presented to them on 19th August as they were trying to get some answers about the investigation.
They have further stated that the FBI has been truly irresponsible when it comes to the case of Kavanaugh as the investigation was a total disaster as it has come into the eyes of the public, it has also been stated by Whitehouse on their official Twitter handle on Thursday as they were trying to get some answers from the Director of the FBI naming Chris Way and this has been concluded that the FBI has not followed the protocols of the tips that they have given and it seems like that they need to clarify many of the things to the public as they are using their tax money for the investigations and are being so irresponsible about the same.
Wray has stated in a statement that they were following the procedure that was provided by the council at the time and he stated that it was pretty misleading at the time.
