Rathod took his last breath at his house in the Paldi area of Ahmedabad, Gujrat. As per the reports, the cause of his death was age-related complications. He was living with his niece-in-law Jagruti and Rhythm who is Jagruti’s son. In an interview with The Indian Express, Jagruti stated, “Uncle was bed-ridden for some time now. He was diagnosed with Covid-19 a few months ago but had recovered. However, due to age-related issues, he was bed-ridden after that.” Since the news come out in the news, many Gurjati celebrities are expressing their condolences on social media by posting his pictures.

He was featured in various Gujrati films including Maa Khodal Taro Khamkaro, Bhadar Tara Vaheta Pani, Son Kansari, Baba Ramdev Peer, Raja Gopichand, Dikrine Na Desho Koi Pardesh, Gana Sati, Shetal Tara Oona Pani, and several television shows.
