Tata Electronics will create jobs around 18000 by investing more than Rs 5000 crores in the Krishnagiri district of the State for producing mobile phone components. Pegatron’s investment of near Rs 1000 crores in the first phase will create more than 14,000 jobs in Chengalpet District(which is about 60KM from Chennai). Pegatron’s investment is for mobile phone making hubs in Mahindra World City. It is also the second-largest contract manufactures of Apple phones. On the other hand, Sun Edison will be investing around Rs 4,000 crore which will employ around 5,300 people in its units to make solar PV modules. Ola Electrics will also invest approx Rs 2,300 Crores which will create job opportunities for more than 2,000 people in its electric two-wheeler and batteries manufacturing units which will be placed at the Sipcot complex in the Krishnagiri district of Tamil Nadu.

Besides Apple manufactures, a german company, EickhoffWind Ltd will also invest more than 600 crores rupees and employ more than 300 people.
