Tamil Nadu is going to earn the honor of becoming a manufacturing hub of Apple investors. The state cabinet of Tamil Nadu has shown a green signal to more than 30 industrial projects marking investments of around Rs 52,000 crores which include primary component manufacturers of Apple. Tata Electronics, Pegatron Corporation, Taiwan, and Luxshare of Taiwan are ready to invest in building manufacturing hubs in Tamil Nadu which will sort out the problem of unemployment across the state on a broad scale. The state will now be opened for the global market.
Tamil Nady is already hosting manufacturing facilities of Salcomp and Foxconn. Now after this clearance from the state government, a vast empire of manufacturing hubs is going to be set in Tamil Nadu once the aforesaid companies start acting on it after this clearance from the state government. Tamil Nadu government has also approved the New Industrial Policy of Tamil Nadu that will be introduced in the next month.
This will strengthen Tamil Nadu’s people in terms of economical growth as there will grow more employment opportunities now. Tata Electronics will create jobs around 18000 by investing more than Rs 5000 crores in the Krishnagiri district of the State for producing mobile phone components. Pegatron’s investment of near Rs 1000 crores in the first phase will create more than 14,000 jobs in Chengalpet District(which is about 60KM from Chennai). Pegatron’s investment is for mobile phone making hubs in Mahindra World City. It is also the second-largest contract manufactures of Apple phones. On the other hand, Sun Edison will be investing around Rs 4,000 crore which will employ around 5,300 people in its units to make solar PV modules. Ola Electrics will also invest approx Rs 2,300 Crores which will create job opportunities for more than 2,000 people in its electric two-wheeler and batteries manufacturing units which will be placed at the Sipcot complex in the Krishnagiri district of Tamil Nadu.
Besides Apple manufactures, a german company, EickhoffWind Ltd will also invest more than 600 crores rupees and employ more than 300 people. The company will manufacture gearboxes that are used in the production of wind energy. The company will relocate its plants in Germany and China. Moreover, BASF of Germany will invest approx Rs 350 crores for planting hubs in the Chengalpet district of Tamil Nadu which will mainly facilitate the production of auto emission catalysts.
This wonderful present for the state will indeed strengthen the economy of not only Tamil Nadu but the whole of India. The manufacturing hubs will also recruit all over the country which means the students of technical fields can assume good fortune in Tamil Nadu.
