With a pang of great sadness, we are sharing the passing news of the prominent figure of the World Dart Championship. The popular dart player, Andy Fordham has recently passed away at the age of and his sudden death news put the world in a feeling of great sorrow. Fordham was the popular face of the Darts game and also the 2004 British Dart Organisation (BDO) world champion. His death news is confirmed on Thursday, by the BDO who released a statement on its Facebook Page in which they wrote, ” We are feeling heartbreak after hearing the death news of darts epic Andy “The Viking” Fordham.”

The statement further added, “He was a true gentleman of the game and he will surely and deeply missed by everyone and this loss can never be filled and our thoughts and hearts are with Fordham’s family at this difficult time and may God give rest to his soul and strength to his family to cope up with this situation.”
Other players also paid tribute to the mourning of Andy Fordham, including the former darts player Bobby George made a statement on his Twitter account and wrote, “Just recently got to know the destructive death news of Andy Fordham. He was a kind person and loved by everyone. Our deep condolences are with his wife Jenny, friends and family. Rest In Peace Andy Fordham, the Viking.”
Adrian Lewis who is the 2 times PDC world champion stated that “Feeling heartbroken after hearing the death news of a legend, Andy Fordham. Our deep thoughts with his family and hope God gave strength to them.” Rob Cross, the 2018 PDC World Champion wrote, “What sad news that Andy Fordham is not between us. A true gentleman and legend of the darts sport. My deep condolences with his friends and family.”
Andy Fordham has passed away on 15th July 2021 due to organ failure at a hospital. He was struggling with a long battle of health issues. He passed away at the age of 59. Andy who is also known as “The Viking” was born on 2nd February 1962 and won the 2004 BDO World Darts Championship and Winmau World Masters in the year 1999.
