Netflix Wasted No Time In Renewing Alice In Borderland
Following the conclusion of 1st season, admirers throughout the world knew that a 2nd season was being planned at Robot Communications (the production firm behind the J-drama) and Netflix. This was thanks to multiple “Easter Eggs” that featured in the 8th episodes’ final scene, where advertisements for the 2nd season can be spotted on buildings and blimps.
Only 2 weeks later on 24th December 2020, admirers of Alice in Borderland got an early Christmas present- confirmation that 2nd season was in production! The promotional video asserting the renewal was shared on Netflix’s Youtube channel, which simply stated that “2nd Season is coming!”
With a score of 91% on Rotten Tomatoes, 7.6 out of 10 on IMDB, 8.8 out of 10 on MyDramaList, and 91 percent on AsianWiki, the producers would be remiss to have not renewed the fascinating action-packed series, now the question is what date will the 2nd season of the series release?
The 2nd Season Of Alice In Borderland Release Window Asserted
On the 9th of November, 2021, Netflix hosted their Japan Festival and shared a 14-minute-long promotional video for their forthcoming Asian titles. At around the 8-minute mark, Netflix featured the Alice In Borderland J-Drama and asserted that the 2nd season would release in the month of December 2022.
Lead actors Tao Tsuchiya and Kento Yamazaki would then disclose that filming on the 2nd season had already started a band that the team was looking forward to continuing the production. At present, a particular date has not been shared but they expect the series to come back around the 10th of December which was the premiered date of the 1st season.
