There has been a sad case of a lawyer living in Hampton who goes by the name of Alex Murdaugh, it seems like his wife and his younger son were shot dead in the month of June and now he has been also shot on Saturday, this happened in the afternoon on a rural road in Hampton County.

He is 53 years old and was shot in the head on Salkehatchie Road and is recovering in a hospital, it has been stated by his lawyer naming Jim Griffin, who is a spokesperson for S.C. Law Enforcement Division has confirmed Murdaugh has been shot. According to Griffin, Alex Murdaugh was on his way to Charleston on Saturday when he had car trouble and he stopped.
A truck passed by Murdaugh, the truck turned around and came back, someone was in the truck who shot him which has been stated by Griffin, he was not aware of how many shots, the information has been relayed to him by Murdaugh’s brother naming Randy who called him at 2:15 pm.

Murdaugh’s lawyer said he is able to speak with the family members through cellphone from the hospital, Murdaugh was airlifted to the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. A statement was released by the family on Saturday evening. The Murdaugh family has suffered through more than any other family and it is just sad that so many family members have died in the family.
It has been stated Alex is recovering and it has been asked by everyone to provide him with some privacy as he is trying to recover from what has happened to him, it has been stated by Hampton County Sherrif T.C. Smalls, he can only confirm that someone has been shot, he stated this in the first phase of investigating and he cannot release any details about the shooting at the time.
The deaths of the family members and now this where Alex has been shot but he has managed to survive and it seems like the authorities are on their toes and the case is receiving national interest, especially when we talk about law enforcement communities where Alex Murdaugh is living are widely known.
It has been 3 months since the case, SLED is yet to make an arrest or announce a suspect or the motive behind the early killings or the shooting which has taken place having an intent to kill but Alex has managed to survive it seems.
