Harshika and Bhuvan, who were expecting their first child, gave birth to a baby girl in October last year (2024). Today (May 3), they are naming their daughter in the presence of their family members in their hometown. The daughter has already been named Tridevi Ponnakka. Harshika Poonachha and Bhuvan Ponnanna have already revealed the name by sharing their daughter’s photo. As per Kodava tradition, the daughter’s naming ceremony is being held in Virajpet today.

The baby girl’s face had not been revealed since the day she was born. This is the first time she has named her and shown her daughter’s face to her fans. Bhuvan wrote on his Instagram account, “Today is a special day for my daughter. It is her naming day. I need all your blessings and wishes for it. In the future, she should become someone who shares humanity with the world.”

He also explained the reasons why he chose this name for his daughter. According to Hinduism, the three main goddesses are called ‘Tridevi’. Saraswati, Lakshmi, and Parvati (Durga) are called Tridevi. They are also the wives of the trinity of Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva. They represent knowledge, wealth, and love, he said.

There is another reason for naming her Tridevi. The reason for starting the name Tri (3) is the day and time of her daughter’s birth. Harshika gave birth to her daughter at 3 am on October 4th. The reason for naming her Devi is that she was born on the first day of Navratri, while another reason is that the child was born with the blessings of Mookambika. Ponnakka is a combination of Ponnanna and Harshika’s names.
